This is not the Pinocchio of childhood.In this fractured fairy tale, the wooden boy has grown into a complicated adult navigating intimacy, identity, truth, and mortality. The strings may be gone, but the consequences of becoming “real” linger. Through hand-cut collage, watercolor washes, ink work, and narrative fragments, I explore what happens after the fairy tale ends. Relationships evolve. Illusions fall away. Desire, regret, vulnerability, and death enter the story. Innocence does not survive adulthood untouched. This piece contains mature themes and is intended for adult collectors.
