Freedom to Make a Difference, Open Edition Print
Freedom to Make a Difference celebrates the simple, powerful act of showing up for one another. Set in an autumn landscape beneath a banner reading “National Make a Difference Day,” birds gather with purpose. Some add cans, others place birdseed into a community food bank box. It is a scene of generosity — small acts combining into meaningful impact. Part of my Our Freedoms series, this piece reflects the freedom to participate in our communities in tangible ways. Democracy is not only about rights; it is also about responsibility. It is about caring for neighbors, reducing hardship, and recognizing that we are interconnected.
Rendered in my signature whimsical style, the birds bring warmth and approachability to a message rooted in service. The falling leaves hint at change and renewal — reminders that even modest contributions can create lasting ripples. This open edition print offers a hopeful visual affirmation: freedom includes the ability — and opportunity — to make a difference.
