The Beauty Within

11 x 14 in., Mixed media assemblage on wood panel. The Beauty Within began as a collage and acrylic monoprint that veered in an unexpected direction. Rather than discarding it, I chose to reimagine its potential. What emerged is a layered assemblage that transforms disruption into a radiant layered assemblage.  A gold-foiled canvas panel rests on a wood panel, surrounded by handmade paper flowers, a papier-mâché hummingbird, an embossed gold-foil earring, and repurposed stones with gold hardware that create a screen between the viewer and the image.. The eyes suggest an inner vitality that endures beneath the surface. Created on my birthday, the work includes my age hidden in the lower-right gold-foil negative space—a personal acknowledgment of aging and the beauty we carry within.

This piece celebrates resilience, reinvention, and the enduring vibrancy within.  Price includes shipping within the continental U.S.
